El mineral molido se mezcla con agua y los reactivos necesarios durante o despu\u00e9s de la molienda para formar una pulpa a trav\u00e9s de un tanque de agitaci\u00f3n, luego se inyecta en el tanque de pulpa donde comienza la mezcla, y se introduce aire en la pulpa para formar una gran cantidad de burbujas. Algunas de estas burbujas no se humedecen f\u00e1cilmente con el agua, es decir, las part\u00edculas de mineral generalmente denominadas hidrof\u00f3bicas se adhieren a las burbujas y flotan a la superficie de la pulpa junto con ellas, formando una capa de burbujas mineralizadas. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Otras part\u00edculas se humedecen f\u00e1cilmente con el agua y generalmente se denominan part\u00edculas de mineral hidrof\u00edlicas. No se adhieren a las burbujas, sino que permanecen en la pulpa, y se descargan las burbujas mineralizadas que contienen minerales espec\u00edficos, para lograr el prop\u00f3sito de beneficio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
