Le four rotatif appartient \u00e0 l'\u00e9quipement des mat\u00e9riaux de construction. Selon les mat\u00e9riaux trait\u00e9s, il peut \u00eatre divis\u00e9 en four \u00e0 ciment, four de m\u00e9tallurgie-chimie et four \u00e0 chaux. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Four \u00e0 ciment<\/a> est utilis\u00e9 pour la production de clinker de ciment, avec des m\u00e9thodes de fabrication par voie s\u00e8che ou par voie humide. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Le four de m\u00e9tallurgie-chimie est largement utilis\u00e9 pour le grillage magn\u00e9tique des minerais de fer pauvres et le grillage oxydant du chrome et du nickel dans les aci\u00e9ries ; le frittage des mines \u00e0 haute teneur en alumine dans les usines de mat\u00e9riaux r\u00e9fractaires ; le grillage de la chamotte et de l'alumine dans les usines d'aluminium ; et le grillage du minerai de chrome et de la poudre de chrome dans les usines chimiques. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Principe de fonctionnement du four rotatif<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Le four rotatif est un r\u00e9cipient cylindrique, l\u00e9g\u00e8rement inclin\u00e9 par rapport \u00e0 l'horizontale, qui tourne lentement autour de son axe. La mati\u00e8re \u00e0 traiter est introduite \u00e0 l'extr\u00e9mit\u00e9 sup\u00e9rieure du cylindre. Lorsque le four tourne, les mat\u00e9riaux se d\u00e9placent progressivement vers l'extr\u00e9mit\u00e9 inf\u00e9rieure et peuvent subir un certain degr\u00e9 d'agitation et de m\u00e9lange. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Les gaz chauds circulent le long du four, parfois dans le m\u00eame sens que la mati\u00e8re trait\u00e9e (co-courant), mais g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement en sens inverse (contre-courant). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Les gaz chauds peuvent \u00eatre g\u00e9n\u00e9r\u00e9s dans un four externe ou par une flamme \u00e0 l'int\u00e9rieur du four. Une telle flamme est projet\u00e9e depuis un br\u00fbleur (ou \u2018 tuyau de combustion \u2019), qui agit comme un grand br\u00fbleur. Le combustible peut \u00eatre du gaz, du fioul ou du charbon pulv\u00e9ris\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n
