Limestone ball mill mill working principle
A limestone ball mill operates by feeding crushed limestone into a rotating cylindrical chamber filled with grinding media (steel or ceramic balls). As the drum rotates at 70–80% of its critical speed, centrifugal force lifts the balls and limestone upward. At a certain height, gravity overcomes centrifugal force, causing the balls to cascade down, crushing the limestone through impact and attrition. Smaller particles pass through a discharge grate, while larger fragments remain for further grinding.
