Application:
Rotary dryers are widely used for building materials, metallurgy, the chemical industry, and cement plants for dry sand, slag, clay stone, etc.
The rotary drum dryer mainly consists of a dryer body, raw material feeding plate, driving and supporting device, seal ring, etc.
Rotary dryer advantages
1. High heat efficiency. The principle of heat transfer of the cylinder dryer is heat conduction, and the conducting direction keeps identical in the whole operation circle. Except for heat loss of end cover and radiation loss, all heat can be used for the evaporation of wet materials on the wall of the cylinder. The efficiency can reach 70-80%.
2. Large operation elasticity and wide application. Various drying factors of the dryer can be adjusted, such as concentration of feeding liquid/thickness of material film, temperature of heating medium, rotating speed of the drum, etc., which can change the drying speed of the under dryer. As these factors have no interrelations, they bring great convenience to dry operation and make it applicable to dry various materials and meet different production requirements.
3. Short drying period. The drying period of materials is normally 10 to 300 seconds, so it is suitable for heat-sensitive materials. It also can be pressure-reducing operated if it is put in a vacuum vessel.
Rotary dryer working principle
1. Rotary dryer adopts direct flow heat sources from the heating unit after putting materials into the cylinder.
2. Materials flow into the dryer smoothly, while the dryer machine is rotating, materials are scattered by spiral board consistently, inside the cylinder.
3. Materials were thrown from top to end and from end to top to be sure the hot air passed through them due to high temperature.
4. Water inside the wood materials evaporates as soon as possible; in the end, materials are effectively dried.
