Introduction of thickener

Thickeners (high-efficiency thickeners) are widely used in the treatment of sludge, wastewater, and waste residues in metallurgy, mining, coal, chemical, building materials, environmental protection and other sectors, and are of great significance for improving the utilization rate of backwater and the concentration of underflow transportation and protecting the environment.

But in fact, the high-yield thickener is not a simple settling equipment, but a new type of dewatering equipment that combines the filtering characteristics of the mud layer.

Thickener screen features

The main feature of the thickener (high-yield thickener) is to add a certain amount of flocculant to the slurry to be thickened, so that the ore particles in the slurry form flocs, accelerate its settling speed, and achieve the purpose of improving the efficiency of concentration.

Thickeners (high-yield thickeners) are generally mainly composed of a thickening tank, a rack, a transmission device, a rack lifting device, a feeding device, a discharging device, and a signal safety device.

1. Add flocculant to increase the particle size of the settled solid particles, thereby accelerating the settling speed;

2. Install inclined plates to shorten the settlement distance of ore particles and increase the settlement area;

3. Play the role of flocculating, filtering, compressing and increasing the processing capacity of the dense phase layer of mud sediment;

4. Equipped with complete automatic control facilities.

Thickener working principle

The sieving machine destroys the surface tension of the slurry and causes the fine-grained materials to oscillate at a high speed on the screen surface, accelerating the separation of useful minerals with greater gravity.

And increases the probability that materials smaller than the separated particle size come into contact with the sieve holes so that the particles smaller than the separated particle size are in contact with the sieve.

The material, the particles with high specific gravity and the ore pulp pass through the sieve holes to become the under-sieve product, to realize the sieving.
